Welcome to Food Around You ("we", "us", "our"). We provide an online marketplace that connects individuals who cook homemade food ("Cooks") with customers seeking to purchase such food ("Customers"). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services. By using our platform, you agree to these terms in full.

2. The Role of Food Around You

2.1. Marketplace Provider: Food Around You acts solely as a neutral marketplace provider. We connect Cooks and Customers but are not involved in the actual transaction, preparation, or delivery of food.

2.2. No Verification or Endorsement: WE DO NOT VERIFY, ENDORSE, OR GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, SAFETY, LEGALITY, OR LICENSURE OF ANY COOK OR THEIR PRODUCTS. We do not perform background checks, inspect kitchens, or validate any claims made by Cooks regarding their food, including ingredients, allergens, or hygiene standards.

3. Cook Responsibilities

By listing food on our platform, Cooks represent and warrant that they:

• Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding food preparation, handling, and sale. This includes obtaining any necessary licenses, permits, or certifications (e.g., cottage food laws).
• Accurately describe their dishes, including all ingredients and potential allergens.
• Maintain safe and hygienic food handling and preparation standards.
• Will provide food that is safe for consumption.

4. Customer Responsibilities and Assumption of Risk

By purchasing food through our platform, Customers acknowledge and agree that:

• They are purchasing directly from the Cook, not from Food Around You.
• It is their sole responsibility to assess the suitability, safety, and quality of a Cook and their food.
• They should communicate directly with the Cook to address any questions about ingredients, allergens, or food preparation methods before making a purchase.
• They assume all risks associated with purchasing and consuming food from Cooks on the platform. Food Around You is not liable for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or other harm resulting from food purchased through our service.

5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

5.1. No Warranties: The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

5.2. Food Safety Disclaimer: Food Around You is not responsible for and disclaims all liability related to food safety, foodborne illness, allergic reactions, and the accuracy of information provided by Cooks (including ingredient lists and allergen warnings).

5.3. Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Food Around You shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your use of the platform; (b) any transaction or interaction between users; (c) any content obtained from the service; or (d) any illness or harm related to food purchased through the service.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to use the platform to engage in any unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent activity. All interactions between users must be respectful and professional.

7. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes, but it is your responsibility to review them periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
